The event will take place on Sunday, April 13, at The Masquerade's Altar. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show begins at 8 p.m., consisting of performances by four diverse local Atlanta artists, ranging from southern rock to early 2000s pop-punk.

According to the artists' bios on the Masquerade's website, the lineup includes:

  • Caroline Reilly, a pop rock artist "with a sound that captures the essence of 2000s pop punk, infused with her own distinctive flair."

  • Los Gargoyles, a shoegaze/noise rock band.

  • Blind Jive, whose music is "steeped in the sounds of classic rock, southern rock, and blues."

  • Café Bleu, "a sophisti-pop group showing homage to the styles of indie jazz pop groups from the European post punk era."

"In Bloom" is hosted by The Masquerade's spring 2025 music marketing interns, a team of four college students, including Oglethorpe third-year Rachel Spooner. The group is in charge of booking, sales efforts, and promotion, which includes social media, press, graphic design, and creative conceptualization. Each intern was given a specific area of promotion to lead.

According to Spooner, "It's been such an awesome experience being backstage and seeing all of the moving parts and work it takes to put on one single show."

The goal of the showcase is not only to support local talent but also to provide the interns with an opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the music and live entertainment industries. Through the internship program, the students learn about the behind-the-scenes preparation involved in concert coordination.

In a recent press release, Georgia Lingerfelt, The Masquerade's Marketing Coordinator and Intern Team Manager, said the showcase is "an opportunity to put what students learn in a classroom and over the course of their internship to action."

Spooner also emphasized the real-world experience gained through the opportunity, saying, "It's helped me learn so much about music marketing that I couldn't possibly learn in a textbook. It's a huge undertaking, but it's been very rewarding."

To support the artists and interns, tickets to the showcase are available now for $10 ADV.
